Why Virtual Services

There is an ever increasing need for employers and injured workers to have access to high quality medical care.  We are able to cater for this need through our heavy investment in our IT platform which allows our practitioners to properly and efficiently utilize this new technology.  With this platform, employers will be able to direct their injured workers to designated sites throughout Australia, where they will be seen by our practitioners through a live video feed.  There are currently 42 medical sites around Australia, and new sites are being setup in area of needs, on a weekly basis.  The injured workers will be examined by a physiotherapist at these sites, at the direction of our medical practitioner.

A diagnosis will usually be made at the first consultation, otherwise a differential diagnosis can be made from the history and examination.  All radiology can also be organised virtually if required.

The injured worker would almost always receive physiotherapy after the initial consultation.  In most instances, our practitioners will assess the injured worker again after subsequent physiotherapy sessions, and there is always communication with the treating physiotherapist.  This ensures constant communication with all stake holders.

Immediately after the injured worker has been seen, our practitioners will send an Email to the relevant employer contacts, outlining the diagnosis, the return to work plan and the management of the injured worker both in the short term and long term.  All employer contacts will receive a WorkCover Capacity Certificate after the consultation via Email or via our secure download page specific for that employer.  This ensures fast and efficient communication with all relevant parties, which is paramount in the management of the injured worker and the claim.  This would lead to improved outcomes and overall lower cost of the claim.

Injured workers can be seen with very quickly and we cater for appointments within the hour, and we offer after hours consultations.  Injured workers are able to be seen from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM for follow up visits.  Employers are kept up to date with every step of the injury process and at every consultation.  There is little administration work on the employers behalf as we take care of all the administrative burden of the claim.  Employers are provided with their own individual online link secured with a password to allow them to download their respective injured workers file.  This allows employers and their support staff to access all of the injured workers medical files.  We can even write the return to work plan at the request of the employer.

Specialist Network

We have a network of specialist Australia wide that will provide physical specialist services for the injured workers.  Our specialist network all work within the WorkCover guidelines and all support early return to work.  In certain instances, in cases of emergencies, we can bypass the public Accident and Emergency system and we can direct admit injured workers through our specialist network and their prospective private hospitals.

Virtual Allied Health

We have a dedicate team of psychologists able to deliver virtual psychological services from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, 7 days per week.

We have a mobile exercise physiologist who can undertake exercise therapy programs in gyms and pools around NSW.

The cost is as per the gazette rates in each respective state of Australia the injured worker sustains an injury, with the exception of Victoria, where the rates would be as per QLD WorkCover gazette rates.  In most instances the cost is the same or lower than most physical General Practice consultations.

The cost savings to our companies are substantial given the significant reduction in administrative burden on our companies.
